WENTWORH TEENAGER TOPPLES No 1 SEED

ANNABEL DIMMOCK IN FLORIDA FINAL
Annabel Dimmock is through to the final of the Jones-Doherty Challenge Cup match-play tournament, the last individual event on this year's Orange Blossom Tour in Florida.
Annabel, a 17-year-old England international and member of the Wentworth club, beat the No 1 seed, another teenager, Marisa Messana by the comfortable margin of 6 and 4.
Annabel qualified as fifth seed for the matchplay.
In windy conditions she said she "played steady" with four birdies to be two under par when the match finished on the 14th green.
Miss Dimmock finished runner-up in last week's Orange Blossom Tour event, the South Atlantic Ladies Amateur (The Sally) at Ormond Beach.
Win or lose in Saturday's 18-hole final, Annabel has boosted her chances of making the GB and I Curtis Cup team for the June match at Missouri.
The other finalist is the No 3 seed, American Isabella DiLisio, who beat Chloe Rogers (Braintree) in the quarter-finals.
DiLisio won her semi-final against the No 2 seed, Brittany Fan, at the 19th.
SEMI-FINALS
Annabel Dimmock (England) bt Marisa Messana (USA) 6 and 4.
Isabelle DiLisio (USA) bt Brittany Fan (USA) at 19th.
