GRANT FORREST LEADS IN CALIFORNIA

Forrest, the 2012 Scottish amateur championship winner at Royal Dornoch, has had rounds of 67 and 72 for a five-under-par tally of 139 over the par-72, 6,947d course.
In his first round, Forrest had an eagle five birdies and a double bogey 5 at a short hole in halves of 31-36.
In his second round, the Scot had four birdies and four bogeys in halves of 36
He leads by one from Jimmy Beck (Kennesaw State) (71-69 for 140) and by two from Motin Yeung (Duke) (68-73 for 141).
The only other British player in the field, England's Seb Crookall-Nixon (San Francisco) is on 153 and joint 46th in a field of 69 after a nightmare second round of 81 to follow up an opening 72.
Forrest's effort has spearheaded San Diego (575) to lead by three in the team event from Duke (578) and Kennesaw State (580).
