MUSSELBURGH PLAYER HAS NINE BIRDIES IN 14-HOLE SPAN

Musselburgh's Vikki Laing shot one of the lowest rounds of her trip Down Under - a seven-under-par 67 - to jump into joint fifth place with a round to go in the Women's Victoria Open at 13th Beach Golf Club, Australia.
The Scot's earlier rounds were a pair of 76s and she is now on the two-under-par 219 mark.
The players are alternating between two courses in this 72-hole event, a par-73 and a par-74.
Laing bogeyed the second and the short 17th but between these blips she chalked up nine birdies in a span of 14 holes.
She birdied the third, fifth, sixth, eighth, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th and 16th in halves of 34 and 33.
Only one other player in the big field matched Vikki's 67 over the par-74 course.
She eight shots behind the leader by three, Australian world-ranked amateur Minjee Lee who has scored 73, 70 and 68 for 10-under-211.
Laura Davies is a shot behind the Scot on 220 with rounds of 72, 77 and 71.
