CALUM HILL FROM KINROSS TIES FOR
SIXTH PLACE IN NEW MEXICO

Calum Hill (Western New Mexico University), a sophomore student from Kinross, finished joint sixth in a field of 54 players at the New Mexico Military Institute Invitational tournament at NMMI Golf Club, Roswell.
Over a par-72 course of 6,652, Calum, pictured above, had rounds of 71 and 67 for six-under-par 138. His 67 was the joint lowest of the second round.
Team-mates Thomas Neve, a sophomore from Epsom, Harry Wetton, a freshman from Bedford, Daniel Young, a sophomore from Cheshire, and Ben Skinner, a sophomore from Hertfordshire and Loretto College, finished on 139, 140, 144 and 147 respectively.
Neve shot 70-69 for joint eighth place; Wetton 67-73 for jt 14th position; Young 71-73 for a share of 20th place; and Skinner 74-73 for joint 28th place.
Scot Hill finished three shots behind the winner, Ian Patterson (Texas-El Paso) with scores of 68-67 for nine-under-par 135.
Texas El-Paso provided three of the first four players, Prescott Mann (63-73) and Frederik Dreier (68-68) tieing for second place with Jordan Ayre (New Mexico Junior College (68-68).
New Mexico (555) won the team title by two shots from runners-up Western New Mexico (557) and Midland (565) in a field of six teams.
