Downfield Golf Club, Dundee member Matthew Reid, a final-year student at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte in North Carolina, finished joint seventh in this week's LMU Spring Kick Off at Fleming Island, Florida.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Why do they use a football term, i.e. "Kick Off" for a golf tournament. Why not use "Tee Off?"

Over a par-71 course of 6,688yd, Reid (pictured) shot rounds of 75, 67 and 73 for a two-over-par total of 215 - 12 shots behind the winner by seven, Spencer Schindler (Flagler College (69-67-66 for 202).
