US COLLEGE SPOTLIGHT ON UK GIRLS OVER THERE

JESSICA BRADLEY FINISHES FIFTH IN 

LADY MOC CLASSIC


Jessica Bradley, pictured, from Bishops Nympton, North Devon, a third year (junior) student at Lynn Univesity, Boca Raton, Florida, finished fifth in a field of 99 players at the Lady Moc Classic at Grasslands County Club, Lakeland, Florida.
Over a par-72 course of 6,085yd, Jessica shot 75, 73 and 72 for four-over-par 220 - four shots behind her winning team-mate, Samantha Smollen (72-71-73).
Katrina Wang (Nova Southeastern) was runner-up on 217 (75-71-71)

Jenna Birch (Armstrong Atlantic), pictured left, a junior student from Fleetwood, Lancashire, finished T15 on 225 (76-79-70). On the same mark was Daisy-May Kenny from Purley, a second-year student at West Florida. Daisy-May had rounds of 77, 74 and 74.


 Welsh cap Rachel Lewis, a final-year student at Nova Southeastern, finished T20 on 228 (79-75-74). Rachel is pictured on the right.

Scotland's Rachel Polson (Florida Tech), pictured left, a junior student from Peterculter, near Aberdeen, finished T30 on 232 (73-79-80).




Sophie Olley (Embry Riddle), a 

sophomore from Notts, finished 

38th on 235 (78-78-79).

Aimee Paterson from Hampshire, a junior year student at West Florida, finished T39 on 236 with scores of 79, 75 and 82.

Hannah Robb (Embry Riddle),  
pictured left, a sophomore and 

member of St Michaels Golf 

Club, Fife,  finished T58 on 

243 (85-79-79).

Lynn scored a double whammy with victory in the team event as well as the individual honours.
Leading placings:
886 Lynn. 888 Nova SE. 890 Rollins. 902 Florida Tech
Other placing: 956 Embry Riddle (13th of 17 teams. 

 KATIE REID DOWN THE TEXAS FIELD

Katie Reid from Dundee, a senior year student at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, finished T69 in a field of 79 at the Jim West Challenge over the quaintly named Bandit Golf Club (maybe the members all have false handicaps!) at New Braunfels, Texas.
Katie, an Angus county team player, shot 85, 84 and 80 - pity it had not been a five or six-round tournament the way she was improving with every round - for a total of 249.
Gonzaga University students finished 1-2 with Raychelle Santos first on one-under 213 over the par-71 course of 6,178yd. 
She scored 68, 77 and 67 to win by two from team-mate Ciera Min (72-72-71).
Gonzaga (878) also won the3 team title ahead of Texas State (886) and Brigham Young (916) and fourth-placed Arkansas-Little Rock (917) in a field of 15 teams.
