ANOTHER UPDATE FROM THE USA COLLEGE GOLF CIRCUIT
WEBBER STUDENTS DOWN THE FIELD
One Ulsterman and three Englishmen, all students at Webber International University, Florida played in this week's 25th Annual Eagle Invitational tournament at LPGA International, Daytona Beach in Florida (March 17-18).
None of them played well enough to trouble the leaders.
The event was won by Julian Taylor (William Woods University) with scores of 69 and 71 for a four-under-par total of 140 over a par-72 course of 6,858yd.
Stuart Winsby, a sophomore from Northern Irlenad, finished T33 on 149 (75-74).
Sam De'Ath, pictured right, a freshman from Fleet, scored 73-77 for 150 and T41.
Alex Fellas, a freshman from Norfolk, finished T52 on 151 with scores of 79-72
Bryan Rutherford, the fourth of the Webber International students, shot 81-84 for 166 and T103.
He is a senior year student, which means he has only a month or two to go to complete his four years in America.
William Woods University (568) won the team title by 12 shots from South Carolina-Beaufort with Webber International (584) third of 18 teams.
