FOCUS ON SCOTS STUDENTS IN BEARCAT CLASSIC

STIRLINGSHIRE STUDENT MAKES TOP 
14 IN BEARCAT CLASSIC

Cameron Buist from Stirlingshire, a freshman student at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte, North Carolina, finished joint 14th in a field of 89 players at the Bearcat Classic which finished at The Patriot Country Club, Greenwood in South Carolina on Sunday.
Buist, pictured above,  had ever improving rounds of 76, 75 and 70 for a five-over-par total of 221
He finished 10 shots behind the Swedish winner, Fredrik Lindblom (Clayton State) who had rouns of 67, 71 and 73 for five-under 211 over a course of 7,133yd.
Belmont Abbey team-mate Matthew Reid, a senior from Dundee, finished joint 40th on 229 (74-80-75) and Fraser Johnston (Georgia Southwestern), a freshman from Port Seton, East Lothian, finished joint 64th on 235 with rounds of 78, 80 and 77.
