JESSICA BRADLEY FIFTH OF 81 IN
PEGGY KIRK BELL INVITATIONAL
Jessica Bradley (Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida), a third-year student from Bishops Nympton, North Devon, finished fifth in a field of 81 players at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational hosted by Tuscawilla Coountry Club, Florida.
Jessica (pictured) scored 75, 76 and 74 for 225 over a par-72 course of 6,089yds.
Generally, the tournament was played in windy conditions which must have suited Johanna Larsson (Florida Tech) who scored 75, 73 and 70 to win by three stroks with a two-over-par total of 218.
Welsh player Rachel Lewis, in her final few months at Nova Southeastern, finished T16 on 233 (77-78-78).
Daisy-May Kenny (West Florida), a sophomore from Purley, shot 81-82-77 for T32 on 240.
Scotland's Rachel Polson (Florida Tech) from Peterculter near Aberdeen seems to have lost her form this year. She had scores of 87, 82 and 80 for 249 and a share of 51st place. The Aberdeenshire county player is capable of far better scores than that.
The consolation for Rachel in this event was that her college, Florida Tech, won the team title.
Lily Kent (West Florida), a freshman from Stowmarket finished 66th on 257 with scores of 89, 83 and 83.
Florida Tech (913) won the team title ahead of Rollins (922) and Nova Southeastern (940) in a field of 13 teams.
