NEW DEAL WITH LPGA TOUR
SKY SPORTS WINS NEW DEAL FOR
WOMEN'S GOLF COVERAGE
SKY
SPORTS will show the best women's golf for at least another two years,
thanks to a new deal with the Ladies Professional Golf Association
(LPGA).
The
agreement offers Sky Sports viewers exclusively live coverage of three
women's Majors played in the United States, plus at least four LPGA Tour
events each summer.
The
new deal strengthens Sky's unrivalled live golf coverage which includes
three of the four Majors, PGA European Tour, US PGA Tour, World Golf
Championship events and this September's Ryder Cup.
English golfer and Solheim Cup star Charley Hull said: “It’s great news that
Sky Sports is showing more women’s golf. I’m really looking forward to
playing in more LPGA events and Majors too, so it’s good to know that my
friends and family
at home can tune in and follow my progress.”
Sky
Sports will show the world's top golfers, including Inbee Park, Suzann
Pettersen and Stacy Lewis will compete for glory in the Kraft Nabisco
Championship, Wegmans LPGA Championship and Evian Championship.
Tour
events also show live will be the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic,
Kingsmill Championship, Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, CME Group Tour
Championship plus the HSBC Women’s Champions.
News and updates on other LPGA events from the United States and around the world will be shown on Sky Sports News.
