EMILY AIRD FINISHES FIFTH IN LIONS CLASSIC AT FORT SMITH, ARIZONA

Emily Aird (Newman University, Wichita, Kansas), a freshman from Perth, achieved the best finish of her first year in US women's college golf when she finished fifth in a field of 51 at the Lions Classic at Hardscrabble Country Club, Fort Smith in Arkansas.
Emily had rounds of 83 and 76 for 159 over a par-70 course of 5,962yd.
She finished only four strokes behind the joint winners, Margaret Musser (Southwest Oklahoma State) (76-76) and Newman team-mate Kendall Anderson (75-80).
Another Newman student, Alex Patton, a freshman from Chippenham, finished joint eighth on 161 with scores of 78 and 83.
Not surprisingly, with three players in the top 10, Newman won the team event by 12 shots from SW Oklahoma State in a field of 10.
KIRSTY CONDON T26 AT HILTON HEAD
Paisley-born Kirsty Condon, coming up to the end of her four years at Radford University, Virginia, finished joint 26th in a field of 55 players at the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek Plantation, Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Kirsty, whose home is in Lincolnhire, had scores of 80 and 87 for 167, 16 shots behind the winner.
Bethune-Cookman's two English students, Jennifer Hide , a junior from Norfolk, and Alice Plumb, a a freshman from Somerset, both made the top 20.
Jennifer, pictured right, was joint 11th with 80-81 for 161 while Alice scored 78-86 for 164 and joint 19th place.
Individual winner by two shots with 75-76 for 151 was Kristin Swindell (Western Caroline).
Samford (628) won the team title ahead of Western Caroloina (6310 with Gardner-Webb (643) thired and Bethune-Cookman (647) fourth. Radford (675) finished joint seven th in a field of 10 teams.
LAST-ROUND 80 DROPS BRONTE LAW
TO SHARE OF 39th PLACE
England's Bronte Law (UCLA), a freshman from Bramhall Cheshire and a member of the 2012 GB and I winning Curtis Cup team at Nairn, had scores of 75, 71 and 80 for 226 and a share of 37th place in a field of 92 at the SDSU Farms International over the Frams of Rancho Sante Fe, California course of 6237yd (par 72)
Bronte scored her first USA win last November.
Raffi Dyer (Oregon), a final-year student from Hayling Island, finished 89th with rounds of 87, 85 and 84 for 256.
She could score better than that before she went to
the USA four years ago!
Winner by two strokes was Karen Chung (Southern California) with scores of 74, 68 and 66 for 208.
Southern California (861) won the team title ahead of joint runners-up Stanford and UCLA (864) in a field of 17 teams.
MELISSA SIVITER BEST OF BRITISH AT
HOT SPRINGS,
ARIZONA
Melissa Siviter (Georgia State), a senior year student from Coseley, West Midlands, finished best of several British players in the field of 89 players at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Women's Invitational tournament at Diamante Country Club, Hot Springs, Arizona (March 24-25).
Over a par-72 course of 6,076yd, Melissa (pictured above), shot rounds of 76, 79 and 69 for T14 place on 234.
SIAN EVANS MAKES TOP 40 AT BRIAR'S
INVITATIONAL, SOUTH CAROLINA
Former Kent county champion Sian Evans from Gillingham, who is into her last few weeks after four years at East Tennessee State University, finished T37 in a field of 93 players at the Briar's Invitational at Briar's Creek, John's Isle, South Carolina (March 24-25).
Sian, pictured above, finished 15 shots behind the winner by three,
Vanessa Johnson (Texas AandM) with rounds of 74, 71 and 74 for three-over 219.
Megan Garland (Arkansas State), a sophomore student from Goole, Yorkshire, finished T42 on 241 with scores of 80, 80 and 81.
Megan Thompson (Missouri State), a junior year student from Ballyclare, N Ireland, had scores of 84, 75 and 84 for 243 and 53rd place.
Abi Laker (Arkansas State), a sophomore from Oxfordshire, shot 85-77-83 for 244 and T54 place.
Scot Katie Reid (Arkansas-Little Rock), a senior year student from Dndee), had scores of 83, 78 and 79 for a share of 63rd place on 250.
Middle Tennessee (921) won the team title ahead of Oral Roberts (930).
Arkansas State (955) filled 10th place and Arkansas-Little Rock (959) fnished T12 in a field of 17 teams.
DOLORES T45 at Ocala Spring Invitational
Dolores Brown (McNeese State), a freshman from Royal Cinque Ports, Ken, finished T45 in a field of 91 at the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational at Juliette Falls Golf Club, OcalaShe had rounds of 76, 79 and 79 for an aggregate of 234 - 28 shots behind the winner by seven, Tiffany Chan (Daytona State) (67-68-712 for 10-under-par 206).
