THREE HOLE LOSING RUN ON OUTWARD HALF BY WENTWORTH PLAYER

Sweden's No 2 seed Linnea Storm, playing in the final for the second year in a row, beat 17-year-old England international Annabel Dimmock (Wentworth) by 2 and 1 in today's 18-hole final of the Spanish women's international amateur championship at El Saler Golf Club.
Dimmock, who was the 20th of the 32 match-play qualifiers, lost three holes in a row - the fifth, sixth and seventh - to go three down. She won the ninth to be two down  at the turn.
Annabel reduced her deficit to one hole by winning the 14th but Strom got an eagle 3 at the 15th to go back to two up and the next two holes were halved. 
Strom, who beat England's Gabriella Cowley in Round 2 and Alex Peters in the quarter-finals. was roughly level par for the holes played.
Dimmock, winner of the Jones-Doherty match-play tournament on the Orange Blossom Tour in Florida in January was not at her best on this occasion. She was roughly five over par for the 17 holes of the final.
