St Andrews University student Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies), winner of the Angus women's county championship for the past five years, is the top seed for this year's match-play stages at Kirriemuir.
She shot a 68 - six under the CSS - to head tonight's qualifying round by seven strokes from the No 2 seed, Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth).
