GOOD PERFORMANCE BY SCOT ON US COLLEGE CIRCUIT

NORTH BERWICK PLAYER WINS TITLE

AT SUGAR TREE G C, TEXAS
 
Chris Low from North Berwick, a second-year student at McLennan College, Waco in Texas, has won the NJCAA District 2 championship at Sugar Tree Golf Club, Dennis in Texas on Tuesday.
Low shot rounds of 69, 71 and 71 for a total of 211 over the par-70 course of 6,859yd to head a field of 61 players.
He won by one from four players, three of them McLennan team-mates, who shared second place.
Not surprisingly, McLennan won the team title by 22 shots from Odessa with Midland third in a field of 10.

 TISDALE SECOND AT BUFFALO DUNES

Five Bethany College, Kansas students from Britain figured in the top 20 of the KCAS Conference Championship at Buffalo Dunes Golf Club, Garden City in Kansas (April 21-22).
James Tisdale, pictured left, a senior from Livcrpool, finished second in a field of 39 players with scores of 74, 70 and 81 for 225 over a par-72 course of 6,806.
Judging by everyone's scores, the weather must have been horrific for the last round!
Tisdale finished three shots behind the winner, Seth Bryan (Southwestern Colllege) (74-68-80 for 222).

Greg Miller, pictured right, a sophomore from Livingston, was second in the Bethany College hit parade. He finished fourth overall with 79, 71 and 78 for 228.
Team-mate Ben Johnson, a junior from West Sussex, tied for fifth place with 76, 77 and 80 for 233.
Lewis Blair, a freshman from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, finished joint seventh on 235 (76-78-81) while Matt O'Neill, a third-year student from Warrington, finished T17 on 237 (75-77-85).
Bethany College (917) won the team title by 10 shots from Southwestern Colelge in a field of seven teams.
