FIONA NORRIS HAS BEST SCORE - BUT

Norris, pictured, winner of the title six times since 1988, had the best score of level par 73 in the qualifying round of the Lanarkshire women's county championship at Strathaven Golf Club today ... but she is unable to play in the match-play stages because of work commitments.
Emma Caddow (Strathaven), second best with a 75, became the top seed in Fiona's absence.
Rachel Cassidy would have qualified with 84 but like Norris is unable to compete in the match play.
Rena Canavan won the Centenary Salver with a net 69 off 11.
