JACK IN MIX AND AILSA SHARES 

WOMEN'S LEAD AT ST ANDREWS

Stirling's Jack McDonald is two shots off the lead in the men's event while Ailsa Summers (St Andrews) is sharing the lead in the women's section at the end of the opening day of the R and A Foundation Scholars Tournament at St Andrews.
After two rounds over the Eden Course, Andrew Wilson (Northumbria) shares the lead on eight under par 132 with Italy's Filippo Campigli. Both had a pair of 66s.
McDonald shot 69-65 for 134.
St Andrews student Ailsa Summers, from Carnoustie, is on eight under par 138 from the women's tees on the Eden Course. She has scored 66-72 and shares the pole position with Irish champion Paula Grant (Ulster) who had had a pair of 69.
They lead by one shot from Miranda Brain (St Andrews) (70-69 for 139) and by two from third placed Eilidh Briggs (Stirling) (72-68 for 140)
