A 22-time European Ladies Tour winner, Trish Johnson, says there is not enough encouragement and funding for women to get involved with golf in Britain.
Trish is coming up to Scotland to play in the first event of the PGA in Scotland's Paul Lawrie Ladies Tartan Tour over the Torrance Course at Fairmont St Andrews over 36 holes on April 14-15.
The winner, if a professional, will win a top cash prize of £2,500 with £1,250 going to the runnerup and £750-£500-£350-£250-£150-£100-£80-£70 to the remainder of the top 10 aggregates.
An amateur can win a prize voucher but she would be limited by the Rules of Amateur Status to one with a maximum value of £500.
Would-be entrants - any lady professional or a female amateur with a single-figure handicap - should note that TOMORROW (Wednesday, April 3) is the deadline date for entries.
If you leave it until Thursday, then you will be too late.
