LOUISE MACGREGOR'S TITLE-WINNING RUN ENDS AFTER FOUR

ALISON DAVIDSON WINS STIRLING AND

CLACKMANNAN TITLE NUMBER SEVEN

Former Curtis Cup player Alison Davidson, playing over her home course at Stirling Golf Club, won the Stirling and Clackmannan women's county golf championship for a seventh time this evening.
She won by 3 and 2 in the final against Louise MacGregor (Glenbervie) who had been county champion for the past four years in a row.

It was a very tight match until Davidson won three out of four holes in succession from the 13th.

MacGregor went  one up at the  third but Davidson squared it at the fifth and went one up at the seventh.
Louise promptly levelled matters again at the eighth.
The next two holes were exchanged with Davidson winning the ninth and MacGregor the 10th.
Then Alison birdied the 13th  to go one up and quickly settled the issue by also winning the 15th and 16th for the title.
