BROOMIEKNOWE'S TITLE DEFENCE 

 

ENDS IN FIRST ROUND 

 

Broomieknowe, the defending champions, were beaten this evening in their first-round match in the Edinburgh inter-club women's doule foursomes match-play tournament at Royal Mussselburgh.
They went down by a one-hole overall margin in their opening tie against Turnhouse who now play Glencorse in Friday evening's quarterfinals.
