TWO IN A ROW FOR POWERFUL BROOMIEKNOWE PLAYER

HANNAH SCOTT RETAINS MIDLOTHIAN 

TITLE AT MORTONHALL

Defending champion Hannah Scott (Broomieknowe) emerged the winner once again of the  Midlothian women's championship today at Mortonhall Golf Club.
In her semi-final against|Glencorse's Kirsten Blackwood, after a faultering start, Hannah outdrove  and outplayed her opponent to win bt 4 and 2.
The other semi final was keenly contested between past champion Karen Marshall (Baberton) and Sal Shepherd (Craigmillar Park) who had already seen off two Midlothian team members in earlier rounds. 
Sal took an early lead to go four up after seven. Karen fought back to level it at the 18th before Shepherd won at the 21st.
After a delayed start, the final between Scott and Shepherd was fairly even with steady but not outstanding play.
Hannah was one up at the turn. Then the title-holder's longer driving and accuracy to the green paid off and she pulled ahead to win the final at the 15th.
The B Championship was won by Linda Boyle (Harburn) who defeated Marion Glauch (Mortonhall) in the final.
