LORRAINE CAMPBELL WINS WEST 

VETERANS' CHAMPIONSHIP

Lorraine Campbell followed up semi-final victory by one hole over top seed Janice Paterson by beating Anna Telfer 2 and 1 in the final of the West veterans' championship at Renfrew Golf Club.
Telfer took an early two-hole lead but Campbell, inspired by a chip in at the sixth, had wiped out her deficit and gone three up after 13.
Telfer had won two holes back by the 17th tee.
A birdie at the penultimate hole gave Campbell victory by 2 and 1. Lorraine will now go to Strathmore Golf Club in September to play in the Scottish Vets championship.
