Mary Dowling (New Ross) won the 43rd running of the Hermitage Scratch Cup by one stroke from Julie McCarthy (Forrest Little) on Sunday, Mary 4.
Mary's opening two-under-par 71 saw her lead Julie by two strokes at lunchtime and she went on secure the title with a solid 77 as weather conditions deteriorated in the afternoon.
This event marked the fifth and penultimate tournament in the ILGU's Scratch Cup Circuit.
The final 36 hole event will be the Zara Bolton Scratch Cup held at Royal Portush on Sunday 18th May.
