STIRLING AND CLACKMMAN MATCH-PLAY STARTS

ALISON DAVIDSON IN FORM IN COUNTY
CHAMPIONSHIP OVER HOME COURSE


Alison Davidson, county champion seven times between 1990 and 2007) was two under par in winning her opening match-play tie in the Stirling and Clackmannan women's county championship over her home course.
The former Curtis Cup player and past Scottish champion beat Margaret Tough by 6 and 5.
Laura Bisset was level par at the end of her win by 8 and 7 over Susan McLeod..
Jennifer Allan, only 16 years of age from Glenbervie, beat Tricia Chillas by two holes to advance to the quarter-finals.
Louise Macgregor (Glenbervie) is bidding to win the title for an uprecedented fifth year in a row. She also won in 2006 as Louise Robertson so that makes five county titles in all.
Another multi champion in the last eight is Jill Harrison who won the title in 1986, 1987, 1988 and 2009 - total of four, so far.
