THREE SCOTS MAKE THE CUT IN SWISS LADIES OPEN
SALLY WATSON ONE OFF PACE WITH A
ROUND TO GO IN SWITZERLAND
Three Scots - Sally Watson (Elie), Laura Murray from Alford, and Nairn's Kelsey MacDonald - survived the 36-hole cut in the Swiss Ladies Open at Gams Werdenberg Golf Club today (Sat)
Fife-based Heather Stirling, Jane Turner (Craigielaw), Gemma Webster (Elie SC) and Ellon's Michele Thomson failed to make it among
the leading 40 and ties who will play Sunday's
final round.
Watson, with rounds of 67-72 for five-under 139, is one shot behind leader Amy Boulden from Wales. Rookie pro Amy has had a pair of 69s.
Murray, playing out of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, will start the last day in a share of 21st place after rounds of 70 and 75 for 145.
MacDonald made it on the limit mark of 148 with scores of 73 and 75. A double bogey at the short 15th in her second round put the pressure on her.
