PAMELA FEGGANS, MICHELE THOMSON, KATY McNICOL SURVIVE IN LETAS EVENT

THREE  SCOTS BEAT CUT IN SPAIN

Pamela Feggans from Ayrshire, Ellon's Michele Thomson and Katy McNicol (Carnoustie) were the only Scots to survive the 36-hole cut in the Augas Santas International Ladies Open at Balneario Golf Restory, Panton, Galicia in northwest Spain today (Friday).
Feggans had two shots to spare with rounds of 74 and 71 for 145.
Thomson and McNicoll  made it on the limit mark of six-over-par 146 while Alford's Laura Murray and Jane Turner (Craigielaw) missed out by one shot on 147.
Thomson and McNicol had matching rounds of 75-71.
Murray scored 74-73, bogeying the 17th when a par would have got her into the final day's play. Turner was a gallant failure, having run up a 9 at the par-4 second and then birdied the seventh, eigthth, 14th and 16th in a bid to save the day.
Glasgow's Gemma Webster scored 77-76 for 153.
Sweden's Lina Boqvist leads by three shots with a pair of 65s for 10-under-par 130.
