SHANNON MCWILLIAM WINS AT MURCAR LINKS

SHANNON WINS ABERDEENSHIRE GIRLS 
COMPETITION AT MURCAR LINKS

Shannon McWilliam, the 14-year-old Aberdeenshire women's county champion and Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish schoolgirls' title winner, won today's (Sun) Aberdeenshire girls' medal competition at Murcar Links Golf Club.
Shannon, pictured putting on the 18th green, had a scratch round of eight-over-par 80 after playing the first few holes in
heavy rain.
New Deeside women's club champion Lauren Watson and Hazlehead's Jasmine Mackintosh were second and third with scores of 93 and 94 respectively.
The higher handicap players had a competition on the Strabathie course. Best net round was an 82 off 20 by Chloe Henderson (Deeside).
