ROYAL DORNOCH PLAYER THROUGH TO SEMI=-FINALS

ALISON BARTLETT HOT ON TRAIL ON SENIOR

TITLE DOUBLE AT ELGIN

Royal Dornoch's Alison Bartlett, winner of the Scottish senior women's stroke-play championship at Elgin Golf Club on Wednesday for the second time in three years, is hot on the trail of a title double.
The leading 16 players in the stroke-play automatically made up the field for the seniors' match-play championship at the same venue.
Bartlett, the Northern Counties women's champion and county secretary, cruised into the last four with wins by 3 and 2 over Lesley Johnston (Gullane) and by 2 and 1 over May Hughes (Lanark).
In the semi-finals, Alison will come up against Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose), a doughty opponent who claimed the scalps of former champion Karen Ballantyne (Craigmillar Park) and then Liz Keohone (Loudoun Gowf).
The other Friday morning semi-final will feature Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) against Fiona de Vries (St Rule).
Fiona knocked out sisters Mary Smith and Anne Ryan, both Tain-based, while Alex beat Linda Grieve (Musselburgh) and Anne Brownie (Gullane).
The semi-finals will tee off at 9.20 and 9.30am Friday morning with the 18-hole final at 1.30pm
