NORTH OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING ROUND

TOP SEED JACQUELINE ONE SHOT 

OUTSIDE MONTROSE RECORD 

Alyth's Jacqueline Sneddon, pictured above by Cal Carson Golf Agency, led the qualifiers for the match-play stages of the North of Scotland women's amateur championship with an excellent round of six-under-par 67, only one shot outside Kylie Walker's women's record, set in June 2008,  for the Montrose Links course.
Sneddon reached the turn in only 31 shots with birdies at the first, second, fourth, seventh and eighth. 
In an inward 36, she added further birdies at the 12th and 15th with a solitary bogey coming at the 13th.
No 2 seed is Ailsa Summer (Carnoustie Ladies) with a 70. Ailsa finished six shots clear of the joint third-best players, Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne) and Jen Saxton (Kinross) on the 76 mark.
Defending champion Claire Prouse (Hazlehead) qualified with a 79.

Best net round was a 68 off 23 by Jackie Nisbet (Dunkeld and Birnam) but she is unable to play in the handicap match-play.
Second handicap prize was won by Lynne Tough (Newmachar) with 71 off 11.
