Scotland are 25 shots behind leaders France but still have an outside chance of making the

top eight qualifiers for the championship flight of the European girls team championship at Skalica, Slovakia.

The Scots U18 girls are sharing seventh place at 20 over par with Germany and Netherlands and it will be a close-run thing.

Hazel McGarvie and Clara Young were the Scots' top scorer in the first qualifying round with three-over-par 75s for a share of 25th place.

Heather Munro and Lauren White are joint 41st on the 76 mark.

Scottish schoolgirls champion Shannon McWilliam was not at her best in marking up a 78 for joint 65th position.

Anglo-Scot Nicola Callander is sharing 108th place after an 85.
