 AND WIN SCOTTISH UNDER-21 TITLE

Gabrielle MacDonald, pictured above by Cal Carson Golf Agency, has suffered a loss of form since she won the Scottish women's amateur championship at Prestwick in May, perhaps because she has been trying too hard to live up to the title.
"Everyone expects the Scottish champion to win every tournament she plays in, so there's been a lot of pressure on me," said the Craigielaw player who is also a student at St Andrews University.
But MacDonald could be back in the limelight over the next three days as she bids for another national title, that of Scottish Under-21 girls' champion at Alloa Golf Club..

MacDonald will have to overcome a strong international field which includes defending champion Jessica Meek from Carnoustie who has completed the first year of her golf scholarship at the University of Missouri.
Anglo-Scot Nicola Callander (Mill Green) won this title as an 18-year-old at Blairgowrie in 2012.
Like MacDonald, Nicola's form has gone off the boil but, one of these days, it will reappear.
The Championship has attracted an international field and the major contenders include two Germans, Chiara Mertens and Sophie Hausmann. and India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), younger sister of Ladies European Tour player, Holly.
There is no cut in the Under-21s tournament. Everyone will play the 54 holes.
