The Perthshire pairing of Lesley Haynes and Sandra Barber from the Strathmore club, Alyth have won themselves a place in the Peugeot Ladies Golf Union Coronation Foursomes Grand Final at St Andrews on Monday, September 22.

Competing at Deeside Golf Club today (Friday) in one of the 16 regional finals throughout Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, Lesley and Sandra topped a field of 66 couples with a Stableford points score of 33 off a handicap of 15.

Alice O'Neil and Norma Campbell (Inverurie) finished runners-up with 31 points off 22.

They had a better inward half than Aboyne's Alison Reid and Sandra Findlay who also had 31pts off 17.
