TOP SEED BEATEN IN SEMI-FINALS AT MONTROSE LINKS

 KIMBERLEY v AILSA IN NORTH OF

SCOTLAND SCRATCH FINAL 

This afternoon's North of Scotland women's championship scratch final is being contested by Aboyne teenager Kimberley Beveridge and Carnoustie Ladies' Ailsa Summers.
Beveridge upset the form book by beating the No 1 seed, Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth) by one hole. Kimberley is the No 4 seed

Beveridge, putting very well, was two up through 13 holes.
St Andrews student Summers beat last year's North of Scotland girls champion, Eilidh Watson (Muckhart) by 3 and 2.
Decisive hole here was the par-4 13th which Ailsa drove and won with a birdie 3.
The handicap championship final will be between Caroline Denning (Newmachar) and Jemma Chalmers (Monifieth). Denning and Hay were all square at the turn in a close match which ended on the 17th green with a 2 and 1 victory by Carline.

Jemma beat  Claire Curnin(Royal Montrose) 7 and 5 with birdies on 5, 10 and 13

Jemma Chalmers (Monifieth) bt Claire Curnin (Royal Montrose) 7 and 5.
