JANE TURNER FINISHES SECOND IN FINLAND

Craigielaw's Jane Turner strung together three of the steadiest rounds of her pro golf career to earn her highest pay packet so far - 5,532 Euros - for finishing second to runaway winner Emma Westin (Sweden) in the HLR Golf Academyu Open at Hillside Golf Club, Vihti in Finland.

Turner shot 70, 71 and 72 for a level par aggregate of 213, which included 11 birdies over the 54 holes, the ones at the 11th and 15th in her final round edging her into second place.

Westin won this LETAS developmental tour event by 11 shots with scores of 65, 68 and 69 for 11-under 202. She earned 8,032 Euros.

Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll (76-72-74) and Alford's Laura Murray (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) (71-76-75)  tied for 23rd place on 222 to earn 730 euros each.

McNicoll had a double bogey 76 at the second and bogeys at the 16th and 17th just when birdies at the 10th and 13th gave her a chance of a top-20 finish.

Murray had only three birdies in the 54 holes.
