ONSJO LADIES OPEN: ONE ROUND TO GO

SALLY WATSON POISED FOR LAST

DAY SWOOP IN SWEDEN

Edinburgh-born Sally Watson has a winning chance going into the third and final round of the LETAS event in Sweden, the Onsjo Ladies Open.
The Fife-based former Curtis Cup player is lying joint fourth on level apr 144 after rounds of 73 and 71.
She is only three shots behind the leader, Sweden's Lina Boqvist who has scored 72-69 for three-under 141.
Alford's Laura Murray is second best Scot in joint 20th place on 149 (74-75).
Also surviving the second-round cut at 154 and better were Glasgow's Gemma Webster (74-78) on 152 and Jane Turner (Craigielaw) on 153 with scores of 76 and 77.
Two Scots missed the cut - Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll with 76 and 82 for 158 - four shots too many - and former Scottish amateur champion, Alyson McKechin (Elderslie) with 79 and 84 for 163.
