SPANIARD WINS BRITISH GIRLS' TITLE

Alejandra Pasarin this afternoon became the first Spanish-born winner of the British Under-18 girls' open amateur champsionship since Belen Mozo in 2006.
She beat Germany's Chiara Merens by 2 and 1 in a tight 18-hole final at Masserene Golf Club, Co Antrim in Northern Ireland.
Pasarin bt India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), the Scottish Under-21 and English girls champion, by 4 and 2
Mertens beat Elizabeth Prior (Burhill) by 6 and 4
