PLAY FOURSOMES AT AUCHTERARDER
Linlithgow's Helen Hunter and Margo Gardner won the SLGA match-play foursomes at a windy Auchterarder course today.
They beat Linda Jack and Fiona MacGregor, representing Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, by 3 and 1 in the final.
St Michael's Ladies (Terry Mullen and Elaine Langlands) beat King James VI (Fiona Farquharson and Muriel McPherson 3 and 2 in the third-place play-off.

Semi-finals - Dumfries and Galloway (L Jack and F MacGregor) bt King James VI (F Farquharson and M McPherson) 4 and 3; Linlithgow (H Hunter and M Gardner) bt St Michaels (T Mullen and E Langlands) 1 hole
Final - Linlithgow bt Dumfries and Galloway 4 and 3.

They finished a shot ahead of runners-up May Hughes (Lanark) and Lesley Lloyd (Hayston).
Colleen Brown and June Sutherland (Dalmally) had the best net round of 73 off a handicap of 29.
Runners-up were Anne Brownie and Viv Curran (Comiston Ladies) with 74.5 off 7.5.
