ALFORD PLAYER T11 IN LETAS EVENT IN TURKEY

LAURA MURRAY NOW 11th IN LETAS

ORDER OF MERIT TABLE

Laura Murray finished joint 11th, 12 shots behind the winner, in the Mineks and Regnum Ladies Classic at the National Golf Club, Antalya, Turkey today (Sunday).
Covering her last 10 holes in one-under-par, Murray, from Alford, Aberdeenshire, had rounds of 77, 74 and 76 for a total of 227 over the testing par-73 course. She earned 1,039 Euros.
The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player has moved up to 11th in the LETAS Order of Merit but only the top five at the end of the season will gain automatic promotion to the Ladies European Tour as fellow Scot Pamela Pretswell did two or three years ago.
Craigielaw's Jane Turner, the only other Scot to survive the two-round cut in Turkey, finished joint 31st on 236 with scores of 81, 75 and 80. She earned 624 euros.
Jane is 17th in the order of merit table, Katy McNicoll (Carnoustie) 56th and Gemma Webster (Succession Group) 84th.
McNicoll and Webster failed to qualify for the final round in Turkey.
Winner of the event was the Order of Merit leader, Sweden's Emma Westin, winning for the third time on the circuit this season and for the second tournament in a row.
She shot four-under-par 215 with rounds of 73, 71 and 71 to win by two shots from compatriot Lina Boqvist (73-74-70) who is second in the Order of Merit table (the first four are Swedes and the fifth from Switzerland).
