BEN JOHNSON RUNNER-UP at SHAWNEE

Ben Johnson from West Sussex, a final-year student at Bethany College, Kansas, finished T2 in the OBU Fall Invite college tournament at Shawnee Country Club, Shawnee in Oklahoma at the start of this week.

Ben, pictured right, had a pair of 72s over a par-71 course of 6,851yd for a two-over par tally of 144.
He finished eight shots behind the winner Zach Oliver (Oklahoma Baptist) who produced a brilliant second round of seven-under-par 64, after an opening one-over 72, for a total of 136.
Four more British students at BCK were in the field of 76.
Freshman Scott Farrall from Conwy, North Wales tied for 12th place on 149 (73-73).
Lewis Blair, a sophomore from Leighton Buzzard, finished T16 on 151 (73-78).
                              Greg Miller,  a third-year
student from Livingston, finished T47 on 159 (77-82). Greg is pictured on the left. Matt O'Neill, a senior from Warrington, tied for 57th place on 161 (84-77).

Bethany College, Kansas (593) finished runners-up to team champions Oklahoma Baptist (584) in a field of 12 teams.

LANDER LADS DO WELL AT FLAGLER

Two Lander University students from the Greenwood, South Carolina campus acquitted themselves well in the Flagler Colonel Jennison Memorial tournament at Palencia Golf Club, St Augustine, Florida earlier this week.
Over a par-72 course of 7,073yd, Robert Prior, a senior from Surrey, finished T14 on 223 with steady scores of 74, 72 and 77 for 223.
Team-mate Jordan Ainley, a sophomore from Hampshire, was just outside the top 20 in T22 position with scores of 77, 75 and 73 for 225 in a field of 75 players. 
Benedict Gebhardt (Wingate) won by three strokes with rounds of 70, 71 and 71 for four-under-par 212.
