MacLaren, who sat in third place entering Sunday's competition, shot a third round score of 74, marking a tournament score of five-over par for a total of 221. over a 6,334yd course with a par of 72.
She edged Grand Valley State's Gabrielle Shipley by one stroke to seal the victory.
Despite struggling on holes one through six on Sunday, MacLaren shot two-under par during a 12-hole stretch. Her birdies came on the par three ninth, par four 11th and par four 16th.
In total, she sank three birdies on the day to help her capture fourth individual title on the USA women's college golf circuit.
Her other wins came at the 2013 SBC Women's Golf Championship, the 35th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in 2012, and the 2012 Wolverine Invitational.
With the first two rounds taking place on Saturday, MacLaren started the day with a first-round score of 74. In that first round, MacLaren bounced back from two bogeys on holes one and two by birdieing two of the next three holes.
She shot even par on the first nine holes, and two-over on the back nine.
In the second round, the United Kingdom native shot one-over 73, a round that consisted of a birdie on the first hole. She shot a one-under 35 on the back nine, including two birdies to put her at three-over for the tournament. She tallied three birdies on the day.
During her "summer holidays" back home, Meghan MacLaren won the British women's open amateur stroke-play championship. She is a former winenr of the Irish women's open amateur stroke-play title.
MacLaren's FIU team-mate from England, Sophie Godley, a junior from Notts, finished T32 on 237.
