JANE TURNER IS TOP SCOT IN JT 21ST PLACE

GEORGIA HALL SCORES FIRST TOUR

WIN AT STRASBOURG, FRANCE

Former British women's open amateur champion Georgia Hall from Dorset scored her first win as a professional in the Open Generali de Strasbourg at Strasbourg Golf Club, France today.

Georgia, pictured, had rounds of 66, 72 and 68 for a 10-under-par total of 206 to win the 4,8563 euros top prize by four shots from three players - Marion de Roey, an Austrian amateur, Denmark's Daisy Nielsen and Cassandra Kirkland (France).
Craigielaw's Jane Turner finished the top Scot in joint 21st place on 219 with rounds of 73, 73 and 72. But for a double bogey 6 at the 18th in the first round, she would surely have chalked up a top 20 finish in this LETAS developmental tour event.
Alford's Laura Murray (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) finished joint 20th on 220 with rounds of 74, 72 and 72. The former Scottish women's amateur champion had an eagle 3 at the 13th and a birdie 3 at the 18th in a final inward half of three-under par. She earned 441 euros.
Glasgow's Gemma Webster (Succession Group) had a nightmare last round of 81 (39-42) after earlier scores of 72 and 76. She finished on 229, last of the 52 qualifiers for the third round and earned 218 euros.
