TWINS IN COUGAR CLASSIC

The Maguire twins have made their debuts for Duke University on the US women's college circuit.
Competing in the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall, Hanahan, South Carolina, Leona finished T5 in a huge field of 120 players while Lisa finished T15.

The highest-placed finisher from the GB and I players in the field was England's Bronte Law (UCLA), pictured, who figured in a three-way tie for second place with scores of 70, 66 and 70 for a 10-under-par total of 206 over the 6,204yd par-72 course.
Bronte finished one shot behind the winner, Sandy Choi (Duke) who scored 69, 68 and 68 for 205. Tieing with Bronte were team-mate Alison Lee (71-66-69) and Sierra Sims (Wake Forest) (65-68-73).
Leona Maguire scored 69-71-68 for 208.
Lisa Maguire had rounds of 74, 70 and 70 for 214.
Scot Rachael Taylor, a student at North Carolina State, shot 73-73-74 for 220 and T33.
Carnoustie's Jess Meek (Missouri) finished T38 on 221 with ever-improving scores of 76, 73 and 72.
England's Elizabeth Mallett (North Carolina) finished GT67 on 227 (74-75-78)
Compatriot Hayley Davis (Baylor) would have been disappointed with her poor showing. She had scores of 80, 74 and 75 for 13-over 229 and T79.
Clara Young from North Berwick, a freshman team-mate of Jess Meek at Missouri, finished T87 on 231 with scores of 77, 78 and 76.
Ireland's Ariana Coyle Diaz (Penn State) came 99th on 233 (80-73-81).
Arkansas (846) won the team title ahead of UCLA (853) and Duke (856). Baylor finished well down a big field of 23 teams - 21st on 912. Missouri finished 22nd on 917.
