NICOLA ROBERTSON'S TOP-20 FINISH ON USA DEBUT
Stirling Golf Club member Nicola Robertson, pictured above by Cal Carson Golf Agency, has achieved a top-20 finish in her debut on the United States women's college golf circuit as a freshman student at King University, Bristol in Tennessee.
The former Scotland girl international whose family live at Dunblane had rounds of 81 and 75 for a total of 156 to finish 18th in the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate at Sevierville, Tennessee at the weekend.
The winner of the event by two strokes was Julie Loennechen (Mount Oliver) with 67-75 for 142.
Two other King students from England finished behind Nicola in the event.
Elizabeth Swallow, a third-year student from Berkshire finished T22 on 158 with a pair of 79s.
Samantha Taylor, a sophomore from Newcastle, had scores of 77-85 for 162 and a joint 35th finish in a field of 68 players and over a par-72 course of 6,006 yards.
King (636) finished eighth of 13 in the team event which was won by Lee (611) by five strokes from West Florida with SCAD-Savanath third on 620.West Florida had three English students in action. Two of them - Lily Kent (77-75 for 152) and Aimee Paterson (79-78 for 157) made the top 20 with Lily T11 and Aimee T19.
Daisy-May Kenny finished 45th with scores of 84-82 for 166
