RACHEL WALKER WINS HER FIRST EVENT OF 2014-15 US SEASON

Rachel Walker from Dumfries, a second-year student at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, opened her  2014-15 US women's college circuit campaign in great style today by winning the Golfweek Program Women's Challenge Tournament at Caledonia Golf Club, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
It was her first victory in America.
Rachel had rounds of 75, 69 and 69 over a par-71 course of 6,123yd for an aggregate of one-under-par 212.
She won by three shots from Frida Fougberg (Arkon) (74-70-71).
Another ODU student, this time from England, Charlotte Hindmoor, a third-year student from Darlington, finished T18 on 223 (76-76-71).
Stetson University's two Scottish freshmen, Eilidh Watson and Paige Kemp, made their USA debuts in this tournament and finished 46th and T48 respectively in a field of 59 players.
Eilidh scored 83-76-79 for 238 while Paige shot 82-78-81 for 241.
Forman University (867) won the team title. ODU came third with 892 in a field of 12.
