TOMACZ ANDERSON HAS 12 BIRDIES, ONLY ONE SHORT OF A 59

 HERTS STUDENT SHOOTS A 12-UNDER

  60 IN SCORING US COLLEGE WIN

Tomacz Anderson, pictured above, from Hertfordshire and a member at Brocket Hall Golf Club, today shot one of the lowest rounds ever seen on the US college golf circuit.
The senior year student at Jacksonville State University returned a 12-under-par 60  - 12 birdies, no bogeys - in winning the Golfweek Program Men's Challenge 54-hole tournament over the True Blue Plantation Course at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Anderson's first two rounds over the 6,296yd par-72 course were 68 and 69. His halves in the final round were 31-29.
He was by five strokes from Colin Monagle (Jacksonville) (68-68-66).
Anderson's English team-mates Jamie Mist, a sophomore from Hayling Island, and Tom Lawton, a sophomore from Wilmslow, finished T20 and T40 respectively in a field of 60 players.
Mist scored 69, 72 and 71 for 212; Laston 72-73-74 for 219.
David Langley, from Berkshire, a sophomore student at Old Dominion University, finished T18 on 211 with scores of 68, 74 and 69.
His effort helped ODU win the team title with a total of 833 - three ahead of Jacksonville and four in front of third-place Jacksonville State in a field of 12 teams.
