ABERDEENSHIRE STUDENT CONTINUES TO FLOURISH ON US COLLEGE CIRCUIT



RACHEL POLSON PLAYS PART AS 
FLORIDA TECH WIN 4 OUT OF 4


Peterculter's Rachel Polson (pictured above) has helped her USA college, Florida Tech, to win four team titles in four successive tournaments from the start of the 2014-2015 season in August.
The latest success came at this week's St Leo University Invitational at Lake Jovita Golf Club, Dade City in Florida.
Rachel, in the last of her four years at Florida Tech, had rounds of 73 and 77 for six-over-par 150 to finish joint 11th in a field of 96 players.
Team-mate Felicia Leftinger, who shot 70-72 for 142, won the individual title at the third hole of a sudden-death play-off
Nicola Robertson from Dunblane, a freshman at King University, Tennessee, finished tied 52nd with scores of 84 and 78 for 162.
Team-mates Elizabeth Swallow from Newbury and Samantha Taylor from Newcastle finished joint 41st.
Swallow scored 77-82, Taylor 78-81.
Florida Tech (589) won the team title by nine shots from Flagler College with King University (645) 11th of 17 teams.
