BALLYCLARE STUDENT JUST OUTSIDE TOP TEN IN USA COLLEGE EVENT

MEGAN THOMPSON FINISHES 12th IN

SHOOTOUT AT TULSA, OKLAHOMA
 
Megan Thompson, from Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, a final-year student at Missouri State University, finished 12th in a field of 67 players at the ORU Shootout at Meadowbrook Country Club, Tulsa, Oklahoma (September 29-30).

Megan, pictured, shot 75, 74 and 76 for a nine-over-par total of 225, finishing nine shots behind the winner by three, Alejandra Acosta (Oral Roberts) (71-67-78 for 216).
Abi Laker from Oxfordshire, a third-year student at Arkansas State, finished T13 on 225 (76-74-76).
Team-mate Megan Garland, a final-year student from Goole, Yorkshire, finished T26 with scores of 79, 72 and 79 for 230.
Sam Houston State (880) won the team title by five shots from Oral Roberts. Arkansas State (908) tied for fourth place in the field of 10 teams.

HOLLY T33 FINISH IN ALABAMA

Holly Robinson, from Sligo, Northern Ireland and a senior student at Alabama-Birmingham, finished T33 in a field of 67 players at the Chris Banister Classic at Glencoe, Alabama on September 29-30.
Holly shot 80, 84 and 81 for 245.
Troy students finished first and second - Fatima Ferne Cano (75-70-72 for 217) and Langley Vannoy (73-73-72 for 218)

AIMEE, DAISY-MAY DOWN THE FIELD 

AT YALE INTERCOLLEGIATE

Aimee Paterson, from Hampshire, and Daisy-May Kenny from Purley - both students at West Florida University - finished T47 amd T59 in a field of 88 players at the Yale Intercollegiate tournament at Newhaven, Connecticut.

Over a par-71 course of 6,044yd, Aimee (pictured right) shot 78, 81 and 76 for 235  while Daisy-May had rounds of 81, 78 and 79 for 238.
Yale scored a double whammy by taking the individual title through Elisabeth Bernabe (73-72-69 for 214) and the team title with a total of 887 - five ahead of runners-up Harvard. West Florida finished 10th of the 16 teams.
