CURTIS CUP SCOT GEMMA DRYBURGH SHARING 38TH PLACE IN TEXAS

HAYLEY DAVIS LEADS THE BRITS

AT THE ALAMO INVITATIONAL
 
GB and I international Hayley Davis from Wimborne, Dorset, a final-year student at Baylor University, Waco, Texas, is the leading British player with one round to go in The Alamo Invitational at San Antonio, Texas.
Hayley has had rounds of 72 and 75 for 147 and is lying T30 in a field of 78, nine strokes behind the Swedish leader, Caroline Nistrup (Louisiana State) who has shot 66-70 for eight-under 136 to lead by three.
Curtis Cup Scot Gemma Dryburgh, a final-year student from Aberdeen at Tulane University, New Orleans, is in T38 position on 148 (77-71) alongside second-year student from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, Aime Ponte (Texas-San Antonio) who has also had rounds of 77 and 71.
Two other Texas-San Antonio players, Brogan Townend, a third-year student from Blackburn, and Becky McGeehan, a freshman from Gutersloh, Germany, are lying T65 and T67 respectively.
Brogan has had rounds of 71-84 for 155 and Becky 75-82 for 157.
 Louisiana State (563) lead the team event ahead of Arkansas (567) and Auburn (570), Florida State (575).
Tulane are lying sixth on 579 and Baylor eighth on 586 in a field of 15 teams.
+Former Scottish girls champion Lauren Taylor from St Andrews has still to make her debut for Baylor.
