Kilwinning's GB and I team selection Connie Jaffrey, a freshman student at Kansas State University, is lying T14 in a field of 104 players with one round to go in the Palmetto Intercollegiate tournament at Turtle Point golf course on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

Over a par-72 lay-out of 5,972yd, the Ayrshire player, pictured left by Cal Carson Golf Agency, has shot rounds of 75 and 72 for 147 - eight shots behind the leader, C C Bufford (College of Charleston) (71-68 for 139).
Fellow Scot Heather Munro from Monifieth, an 18-year-old freshman student at Elon University, is T39 on 152 (73-79).
Emily Royer (Georgia State), a freshman from Maidstone, Kent, is T52 on 154 (80-74).
