LESLEY ATKINS TIED 13TH FINISH IN USA COLLEGE TOURNAMENT

Lesley Atkins, the 2010 Scottish Under-18 girls champion from Gullane and now a second-year student at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, finished joint 13th in a field of 56 at the Lady Red Wolf Classic at Sage Meadows Golf Club, Jonesboro, Arkansas this week.
Over a par-72 course of 6,138yd Lesley had rounds of 77 and 78 for a total of 155 in an event reduced from 54 holes due to bad weather. She finished 14 strokes behind the winner by four, Erica Lautensack (Austin State), who had scores of 72 and 69 for 141.
Two English players helped hosts Arkansas State win their home tournament for the third time in the past five years.
Abi Laker, a third-year student from Oxfordshire, finished joint seventh on 152 (78-74) while Megan Garland, a final-year student from Goole, Yorkshire, finished joint 23rd with rounds of 82 and 79 for 161.
