HALFWAY IN KUALA LUMPUR

FROM SKYSPORTS.COM
So Yeon Ryu opened up a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia tournament in Kuala Lumpur today
On a day when birdies were easy to come by, Ryu had seven of them in a round of 65 to move to 11-under 131 and top a much-changed leaderboard.
Overnight leader Stacy Lewis was one of few players to struggle in Friday's round, the world No 1 stumbling to a level-par 71, a round that included four birdies and four bogeys.
Lewis dropped into a seven-way tie for 11th place, five shots off Ryu, on 136, alongside North Berwick's Catriona Matthew who has fired a pair of three-under 68s.
The biggest mover of the day was Japan's Ayako Uehara, who improved 29 places into a tie for second on 133 with eight birdies in a flawless round of 63.
Joining her on nine-under are England's Jodi Ewart-Shadoff and New Zealander Lydia Ko, who both carded rounds of 64, and Eun-Hee Ji of South Korea who went round in 67.
Spain's Azahara Munoz, Chinese star Shanshan Feng and Pornanong Phatlum of Thailand are tied for sixth on eight-under.
England's Charley Hull was also among those to struggle in perfect scoring conditions, the teenager slumping to a five-over 76 - her round included two birdies, three bogeys and two double bogeys.
She is tied for 69th place, 17 shots off the pace with only three players on a worse score.
